Her Side
It all began in 6th grade...even though we didn't know it! I had just moved here from California and was a pretty shy girl...especially when it came to boys! So I use to spend the night a lot at my cousin Jessica's house and she was best friends with James. Well when I would go over to her house she use to make me talk to him on the phone! Let me first explain that I was SHY and was not aloud to talk to boys on the phone so this was a big step for me :) And let me just say an awesome step! So years went by and we were in high school now. I always thought James was sooooo cute and was just head over heels for him! I would go home telling my mom "Oh my gosh, this boy James is sooo cute, Mom!"! So it was my junior year of high school and his senior year of high school! We had second semester photography class together! I was SOOO excited that he sat by me and became my partner for the semester. We walked around campus taking pictures together and taking portraits of each other! (which I have the picture I took of him sitting by my bed in a frame :D)
So James graduated :( During the summer we would talk on AIM (I know..soo old school) and would talk about everything....and then one night he asked me to come out to the fire station that he was living at! Of course I said No! I was scared.....he was sooo gorgeous and I was always in love with him and didn't know what his intentions were...sooooo all summer I made excuses why I couldn't come out to the station! So my senior of high school we talked on and off and then I graduated! Again it was summer and again he was trying to get me to come to the fire station! But I STILL wouldn't go! So we just talked all summer and I headed to WSU in August!
So this is where the magic began! It was labor day weekend and my sister came up to visit me! James also came up to see his friend Nick! Sooo James invited us over to Nick's frat and I finally said YES!! We walked all the way to the frat and of course I was freaking out and soo nervous. Now this may sound cheesy but when I opened the door, James turned around from the computer and we locked eyes...and let me just say there were sparks flying like crazy and the weirdest feeling went through my body! So on the way home Shara was like " Umm was there a weird connection going on beween you too" and I said "Yes, why" and she said "Cause I felt it too"!! Crazy I know!
So James and I took it slow and just talked for the next few months...and then our first real date was to his cousin Eric's wedding! Ok now that was nerve racking! hehe :) And that night he asked to kiss me but I hesitated and it didn't happen! So then right before I went back to school he asked me on another date an took out to our now special spot over looking the river and rattlesnake out by his parents house! We watched the sunset, went and had dinner at his parents and then took me home and I FINALLLLYYY kissed him!! It was soo special and we were finally couple and have been ever since! This special spot was also the spot that he proposed to me at! :) :) :)
Now I will guarantee James "side of the story" wont be this long! :)
His Side
Well Shayna has already told you all about how we met... I was told I still have to write something here though :) Shayna and I have been together for almost 4 years now and were long distance for much of our relationship while she attended WSU. I knew very early though that Shayna was someone special and someone that I could be happy with for a lifetime. We are always laughing and find a way to have fun no matter what it is we are doing. I can't wait for the wedding to get here and to share our special day with all of you.
